1:05- Tice recently moved to Woodland Park, Colorado to continue his photography career and discovered Sheath through the local magazine and became immediately interested in collaboration.
2:08- In 2014, before going on a ten day safari in South Africa with a work group, Tice realized he didn’t have any kind of camera equipment other than his iPhone.
3:38- One of the first pictures he took with his new Nikon camera was an elephant that was about seventy five yards away, by the end of the trip, he had taken over four thousand photos.
10:08- In March 2016, Tice visited Colorado Springs, Colorado for the first time and became so excited about taking photos that he woke up at 3:30 AM the first morning at the Garden of the Gods hotel and went out to shoot. The photo he took at 4:18 AM titled ‘4:18’ became a published photo for NatGeo.
13:18- Patton’s favorite thing about podcasting is locking in and removing distractions so he can get to know the other person better.
16:10- You have to work a job you don’t like to learn about yourself and gain persistence to discover what you’re best at.
18:57- Documenting your experiences through video doesn’t have to be scary, just be real and explain what you’re about.

1:08- The last time Patton & Marino were in contact was at the Menfluential conference in Atlanta, Georgia February 2020.
4:40- In 2006, Marino filed for bankruptcy after going broke working as beer delivery driver to make ends meet. Since age twelve, he has had the dream of owning a fitness center.
6:20- After graduating college with a business management degree, Marino moved to Atlanta Georgia and began work as a personal trainer. Shortly after working in a health club, he met a business partner and they opened up three nutrition shops. He had to end the relationship after his partner began expressing interest in selling illegal drugs at the shops.
10:25- Patton also knows what it is like to climb out of the bankruptcy hole.

22:25- During his amateur career, Moreno competed in a lot of kickboxing and jiu jitsu tournaments. MMA helped him escape a sedentary lifestyle and bad diet.

28:42- “Soy el mejor” is what Moreno was repeating to himself over and over before his title fight. It means, I’m the best.

35:47- Patton accredits his first place basic training physical fitness finish to not eating in the fast food line, but instead opting for the unprocessed, whole food line.

0:37- A couple weeks ago, Patton was a guest on the Brooklyn Boxing Podcast led by Patrick Healy.
2:02- One of the biggest challenges in podcasting is bringing an energy that makes things exciting and captivating for the guest and audience.
