1:44- Kyle “The Monster” Nelson recently made it into the ranks of the UFC and discusses how he first heard about SHEATH.
4:24- Patton brought friends and family over to watch Nelson’s debut fight against Diego Ferreira. It resulted in him losing due to an adrenaline dump.
7:50- Nelson signed a four fight contract with the UFC.
11:21- Nelson is not allowed to wear SHEATH in his UFC fights because of the current Reebok sponsorship deal.
12:30- Originally, Nelson wanted to be boxer after watching Rocky as a young boy. He is trained in Kickboxing & Ju Jitsu.
16:12- Somehow the conversation switches to UFO’s and space exploration.
18:49- For one month, Nelson stayed at a fighter dorm while training with Team Alpha Male.
20:49- SHEATH made it into the top 1% of all stores on Shopify.
25:00- Beyond being a sponsored athlete with SHEATH, Nelson also helps with shipping Canadian orders.
29:56- Patton breaks down why he doesn’t like Jon Jones.
33:33- Biohacking is something of great importance for Patton now that he is past his prime.
36:11- The training was very intense at the Team Alpha Male Gym, after the end of each practice, Urijah Faber would deliver some motivational words to keep the energy high. At training, Nelson met Peter Barrett, a fellow SHEATH sponsored athlete who is on track to make it into the UFC.
39:00- With Patton being an avid cannabis user, Nelson shares his open minded opinion as a non smoker who knows it isn’t a bad thing.
43:00- Nelson’s last job was working the night shift at The Home Depot in 2016. Patton’s last day jobs were in 2014 delivering Chinese food and cleaning golf carts.
47:35- Patton cried when he learned that Nelson had finally made it into the UFC.
51:45- Nelson is very hopeful for the success of his fighting career and SHEATH.
